Terms of sale

Terms of sale

These are the terms of sale for books bought through this website. They take effect on 1 November 2026 and apply to orders placed from that date. If you have a question about them or about an order, contact us and we’ll answer it directly.

Terms version: 2026-11-01, in effect from 1 November 2026.

Who you are buying from

This website is run under the Early Education Books name. Enlighten Press is an imprint of Early Education Books. The business that sells the books to you, and that “we”, “us” and “our” mean in these terms, depends on the store you buy from:

How to contact us

For anything about an order, a return or these terms, email the address for your store:

You can also reach us through the form on the contact page.

When these terms apply

These terms apply when you buy books from this website, whether you pay by card or by invoice. By placing an order you agree to them. Wholesale and trade accounts buy under their own terms of trade, which apply to those accounts instead.

Orders and payment

Paying by invoice

When you choose to pay by invoice, you tell us who the order is for and can add a purchase-order number. We email you the invoice.

Prices and tax

Prices are shown in the currency of the store you choose. The checkout shows the price of each book, the delivery charge and the total before you pay.

Delivery charges

The delivery charge depends on the store you buy from and is shown at checkout before you pay:

The Australian and New Zealand thresholds are measured on what you pay for the books, after any discount and before delivery, whatever mix of books, packs, deals or discounted books the order contains.

Australian orders are sent from our Australian warehouse, New Zealand orders from our New Zealand warehouse, and United States orders currently from Australia. We don’t publish fixed delivery times. If you need the books by a particular date, tell us when you order and we’ll let you know whether it’s realistic.

Your rights under consumer law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, wherever you buy from. If anything in these terms conflicts with those rights, your rights under the law prevail.

Consumer guarantees in Australia

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The Australian Consumer Law is Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy it gives you.

Consumer guarantees in New Zealand

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Faulty, damaged or not as described

If a book is faulty, arrives damaged, is not what you ordered or does not match its description, contact us. You are entitled to the remedies the consumer law gives you, and where the law lets you choose between a refund and a replacement, the choice is yours. Where the law requires it, we pay the reasonable cost of returning the goods.

For a book that arrives damaged, a photograph of the damage is usually all we need, and you don’t need to send the book back.

Change of mind

We also accept change-of-mind returns. This is our own policy, offered on top of your rights under consumer law. If you’ve changed your mind or a book isn’t suitable, contact us within 14 days of receiving the books, before you send anything back, and we’ll send you return instructions.

The return freight and delivery charge rules above apply to change-of-mind returns only. They never apply to a book that is faulty, damaged or not as described, or to any remedy the consumer law gives you.

Your personal information

How we collect, use and look after personal information is explained in the privacy policy at /privacy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Each order records the version of the terms it was placed under, and a later change does not affect an order already placed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the place where the business you buy from is based:

This does not remove any protection the law where you live gives you that cannot be excluded.

Your basket

Your basket is empty.
